Inviting Reform Rabbi to Speak

Question:
I believe that inviting a reform rabbi to speak at our outreach center along side me on issues like….. insights into the meaning and value of shabbos or perhaps the akaida ect .. will attract large numbers of non religious college students that would other wise not come to events.. is this permitted.

Answer:

A person with heretical views should not be given a platform to speak or teach students. On the surface his brand of care free Judaism may be more appealing to secular students, who will see this as a valid option in Jewish practice, if even the Orthodox invite him to speak and engage in Torah study. It is important that we clearly convey to our audience that there is only one form of authentic Judaism. This is the opinion of Moreinu Harav shlita.
